SpazioFoto Credito Artigiano is an art gallery devoted exclusively to photography situated in the heart of Florence with an area of 200 square metres.
For many years now, the gallery has been regarded as an essential point of reference for art photography connoisseurs. It was in Florence, in fact, that Italian photographers found the ideal milieu for their talent to bloom. Exhibitions of important artists as well as exhibitions of young talented photographers were hosted at SpazioFoto in past years. Bill Owens, Duane Michal, Georg Gerster, Howard Schatz… Francesco Gnot, Simon Norfolk, Paolo Woods.. to mention just a few.
Particular focus was always placed on photo reportages and international issues.

The gallery was opened on 4th May, 2000 with an exhibition entitled Amoureux, presenting fifty black and white pictures taken by three great artists such as Boubat, Doisneau and Ronis.
With the end of the exhibition of the American artist Disfarmer, the gallery was closed in June, 2004 because the location in Via De Boni 1 was not available anymore.
Nevertheless, Credito Artigiano has continued to offer its support to those initiatives aimed at emphasising the artistic and cultural heritage of the cities where it is based, i.e. Milan, Rome and Florence.
Credito Artigiano (Credito Valtellinese banking Group) has also been organizing cultural events such as modern and contemporary art exhibitions and photo exhibitions hosted at Credito Valtellinese Group permanent stand in Milan since 1987.
