Established on the initiative of the parent bank Credito Valtellinese, the "Credito Valtellinese Group Foundation" is a not-for-profit organization committed to promoting and supporting projects for Italy's cultural, scientific, social, economic and moral progress. The Foundation headquarters are based in Piazza Quadrivio 8, in Sondrio. Following a decree issued by the prefect of Sondrio on January 31, 2002, the Foundation has operated at national level since.

In order to achieve its objectives, the Credito Valtellinese Group Foundation is specifically committed to:

sponsoring public and private not-for-profit institutions committed to helping needy people;

organising art exhibitions, conferences, meetings and publishing events;

sponsoring grants and projects for the development of culture, education and research

providing financial support to those projects that basically pursue the same objectives as the Foundation itself

supporting projects for the development of employment;

helping research and professional training focused on the value of its home territory and on the importance of the local activities;

supporting ethical initiatives to help the third sector, also in association with other institutions and foundations based either in Italy or in overseas countries;

raising funds to pursue the achievement of its specific institutional goals;

offering suitable instruments and benefits to people working with the Foundation to fulfil the above-mentioned objectives;

signing agreements for carrying out specific projects

In accordance with the solidarity principles that have always inspired the activity of the Credito Valtellinese banking Group, the Foundation basically works for the promotion of cultural heritage and research and for helping the social, moral and economic growth of the community in the Group's home territory. The Foundation also supports various initiatives set up to pursue the achievement of its institutional goals.
