Creval and the City and Province of Sondrio unveil S.I.OP.E., the new IT system for public agencies

Sondrio, 3 November 2005 - On Friday, 11 November at 10 AM, a meeting will be held in the council chambers of the Province of Sondrio at no. 22, Via XXV Aprile, organised by Credito Valtellinese and sponsored by the City and Province of Sondrio, regarding the introduction of S.I.OP.E, an electronic system for recording the sums paid and collected by the treasurers of all local government agencies.

The system--which, starting on 1 January 2006, will be used by all provincial and municipal governments with a population of over 20,000, and will be expanded to all other local agencies on 1 January 2007--will allow the central government to follow the progress of public finances in a timely fashion.

The meeting--which is aimed at local authorities: the provincial, municipal, and mountain community governments of the provinces of Sondrio, Lecco, and Como--will see the participation of the following speakers:
