Credito Valtellinese obtains the quality certification for its fund transfers via payment systems

On December 16 last, the CISQ Technical Committee (Italian Certification of Business Quality Systems) gave the certification of the quality of its fund transfers via payment systems to Credito Valtellinese.

Credito Valtellinese is the first Italian bank that obtained the quality certification for such a process.

CISQ-CERT supervisory inspection, carried out on November 26-29 1996 at Credito Valtellinese headquarters in Sondrio and at ten branches, pointed up that:

…"The Business Quality System is fundamentally well-defined and carried out. The interviewed people seem motivated and involved. The management's commitment is clear. According to the Quality Handbook, the Quality System is very often assessed. The 1996-1999 Strategic Plan, in fact, will rapidly assess the quality of all Group companies, as well as maintain Quality systems that have already been developed. …Information technology process check and information technology instruments use, training activities and documentation check based on computerized systems, as well as the staff knowledge of "circular letters" and "work orders" are Credito Valtellinese's aces". The quality certification represents the crowning achievement of a long-lasting commitment. Credito Valtellinese, in fact, had taken an interest in matters of quality since the second half of the '80s, with the inauguration of the first Bank Quality Circles. Then, since 1990, Credito Valtellinese had started reorganising its business operating processes. As a consequence of such a renewal, the bank applied for the certification of its quality system. The quality certification regarded different sectors. The first operating process individuated for certification was "application processing, disbursement and management of credit facilities", a central process for the bank, for which Credito Valtellinese obtained the quality certification in December 1995. Today, Credito Valtellinese achieves one more very important goal.

Credito Valtellinese Quality System planning, spreading and performance were overseen by ISTINFORM, a consulting company for the organization and information technology of banks and popular banks.

Offering quality banking facilities, certified by the institutional organizations, to the market represents Credito Valtellinese's constant commitment, which culminates in the customer's satisfaction.
