Credito Valtellinese Group to launch new index-linked policies

Sondrio, May 2, 2003 - The Credito Valtellinese banking Group, in association with the company Global Assicurazioni S.p.A., are launching a new series of index-linked policies under the name of "Global Index Serie 16" for a total amount of € 30 million.

"Global Index Serie 16" includes a bond component which guarantees a 5% basic yield while the stocks and shares component provides additional benefits if the market performs well.

"Global Index Serie 16" has been conceived with the aim of responding to stock market volatility and to allow our customers to benefit from the high performances of the major international Stock Exchanges by offering customized insurance and financial solutions. The minimum investment amount is € 2,500. The investment term is five years. Along with a guaranteed basic yield the Global Index Serie 16 may also provide additional benefits linked to the performance of major Stock Exchange listings (DJ Eurostoxx 50, Standard&Poor's 500 and Nikkei 225).
This product will only be available for the customers of the Credito Valtellinese banking Group until May 22, 2003.
