The Chairman of the Industrialists' Association of Catania visits the headquarters of Credito Siciliano di Acireale

Acireale, 29 September 2005 - A meeting was held today at the headquarters of Credito Siciliano di Acireale between the new Chairman of the Industrialists' Association of Catania, Fabio Scaccia, and the President of the bank, Carlo Negrini. The meeting was also attended by the two General Directors: Alfio Franco Vinci from the Industrialists' Association and Francesco Giacobbi from Credito Siciliano.

Chairman Scaccia expressed great satisfaction for the agreement that exists between Credito Siciliano and the Industrialists' Association, and his hope that in the future the relationship will become even stronger, in view of the arrival of Basel II, which will be soon be a pivotal point in the relationship between banks and business.

President Negrini said he was optimistic, and stated that Basel II should definitely be seen as an opportunity for the continued improvement of relations between banks and business. He also pointed out that the Creval Group, to which Credito Siciliano belongs, already operates in accordance with several principles which will come into force with Basel II. He also stated that he was pleased with the excellent dialogue the bank has with its clients, and is sure it will succeed in balancing their needs with the new standards imposed by the regulations.
