"Gabbiano d'Argento" awarded to Diego Abatantuono

Milan. The prestigious "Gabbiano d'Argento" ("Silver Seagull") prize for cinema will be awarded to Diego Abatantuono on Monday, 17 October, at 9 PM in the Sala Gregorianum theatre (via Settala 27); the prize is now in its second year, and last year was awarded to director Pupi Avati.

This initiative--sponsored by Credito Artigiano--has its roots in a neighbourhood cinema that has offered film and cultural programming for over a decade, and is aimed at singling out individuals who have put their talent and skill into work that highlights their human and ethical qualities.

The award ceremony is open only to invited guests (for bookings, please call +39 333 2414028 - admittance will be allowed only in accordance with seating capacity), and will also include the viewing of the Ettore Scola film "Concorrenza Sleale", in which Diego Abatantuono plays a leading role.
