Credito Valtellinese Group introduces its statement of account in Euro
In view of the European single currency advent, Credito Valtellinese banking Group made a first significant contribution to facilitate its clientele.
The Euro will be introduced at the beginning of next year. Starting from June 30, each movement and the balance on the statements of account, which Credito Valtellinese, Credito Artigiano, Banca Popolare di Rho and Bancaperta are sending to their customers, will report the equivalent value in Euro.
This is one of the Euro project initiatives that Credito Valtellinese banking Group is undertaking in various branches of activity (information technology, organization, information to the staff and training, communication). Such initiatives assure full services to the customers.
Credito Valtellinese Group customers have already been able to ask for their statement of account, either in lire or in Euro, at the counters and on the "bank on line" (banking services the Group provides via the Internet) for a few months. Now, the Group customers are given statements of account that report such information too.
The single currency advent will profoundly affect the market and Credito Valtellinese Group intends to take up the challenge that is facing both the European and the Italian banking system. That's why the parent bank is undertaking numerous initiatives, first of all for its shareholders, such as the Euro capital conversion, which Credito Valtellinese's General Meeting approved last April (Credito Valtellinese share will be worth three Euro instead of 5,000 lire), a capital increase through a 280 billion lire partially convertible and subordinate bond issue in Euro and the new financing "Specialsocio Europa prima casa", which will be in Euro, starting from January 1999.
The Group banks aim at confirming their reputation of family banks, which are always close to their customers, also andapasina above all when very important changes occur.
