CREDITO SICILIANO CONFIRMS 2002 BALANCE SHEET; CARLO NEGRINI APPOINTED NEW VICE-CHAIRMAN

Acireale, April 4, 2003 - At today's meeting of Credito Siciliano, the Board of Directors of the bank has approved the balance sheet for the year ended December 31, 2002. Net profits totalled € 14,400, which were allocated to a reserve as already happened for profits and losses of the previous years.
The meeting also resolved on the appointment of Mr Antonio Pogliese as new member of the Board of Directors after Giovanni Continella had resigned from it to present his candidature for the Board of Directors of the parent bank Credito Valtellinese.
At a Board Meeting that was held immediately after the shareholders' meeting, Managing Director Carlo Negrini was also appointed vice-chairman of Credito Siciliano.
