CONVENTION IN TRESIVIO:
SONDRIO - Credito Valtellinese banking Group, Banca San Paolo di Brescia, Banca di Valle Camonica, sponsored by Istituto Atesino di Sviluppo, organise a specialized convention on: "Energy in alpine areas: ownership, production, market".
The meeting is expected to take place on Saturday, May 16 1998, in Credito Valtellinese Training Centre, in Tresivio from 9h.00 to 18h.00. It is included in a series of initiatives aimed at providing starting points for considering very relevant themes, which are important for the development of the alpine areas.
In fact, the provinces of Sondrio, Brescia and Trento, characterised by specific economic and social identity, historically played a prominent role in producing energy. Therefore, they are a special point of reference for the elaboration of new models, which properly represent the various institutions' requests, protect the environment and satisfy both public and private operators' business needs.
Furthermore, as we know, the development process affecting the energy sector and the EEC instructions about market liberalization entail second thoughts in the global situation.
Through authoritative speakers' statements (among which Pippo Ranci, Giuseppe Gatti, UNAPACE chairman and Giovanni Del Tin, Federelettrica chairman), the convention aims at providing to operators in the three areas - Local bodies, Economic public bodies, Local public utilities and private producers - an opportunity to make comparisons and discuss present situations and future prospects of the energy sector, taking into account ownership, production and market.
