The bank and the school together for the students
After the resumption of the school, habits change and the rhythm of the school commitments is accelerated. Anyway, also during their holidays, some students preferred to spend their spare time learning. Twenty-three students (eleven of them attend De Simoni Technical and Commercial Institute, in Sondrio) enjoyed the opportunity to attend a stage at Credito Valtellinese banking Group companies.
The primary target was to establish a contact between the school and the professional realities, integrating the school knowledge and presenting possible future vocational choices.
Each student was assigned a company tutor who helped him approach a particular service, experience the operating reality and enrich what he learned at school.
In order to provide a more exhaustive knowledge of banking, the instructive course alternated practice and lessons.
Lessons aimed at illustrating Credito Valtellinese Group's peculiarities, problems linked to the Euro advent, remote banking transactions, in particular the bank on line and banking services via the Internet. Moreover, the students visited a branch and the Internet Point.
The students showed remarkable motivation and dedication. In fact, they could carry out tasks they were assigned with mutual great satisfaction.
Credito Valtellinese banking Group is very satisfied of the initiative and intends to repeat such an experience also next year. Moreover, Credito Valtellinese Group is increasing the frequency of vocational guidance meetings throughout the school year, in order to help the students make more conscious choices.
