BANCAPERTA: FIRST QUARTER 2002 STRONG INCREASE; NET PROFITS AT € 4.4 MILLION (+8.5%)

Bancaperta spa, the Credito Valtellinese banking Group web-bank, which is also entrusted with all activities pertaining to Finance, has been considerably increasing profits during the first half of 2002. As at June 30 2002, net profits stood at € 4,456,063 (+ 8.5 percent compared with June 30 2001) and ordinary profits at € 7,286,747 (+ 6.56 percent compared with the same period of last year).
Bancaperta spa is the Group web-bank, as it provides a wide range of services, which is called the banc@perta line, via the Internet. At present, the banc@erta users are more than 110,000 customers. Bancaperta is also the company entrusted with all issues pertaining to Finance, in particular with asset management, assets administrations (more than 2,600 million euros representing something like 50,000 contracts) and private banking.
During the first half of the current year, Bancaperta - in association with the insurance company Global Assicurazioni spa - has been further developing the bank-insurance product called PF+A, which combines the benefits of a professional assets administration with those of an insurance policy.
Bancaperta has also been collaborating in the launch of numerous index-linked bond issues.
