Credito Valtellinese Bank Group signs renewed Euro Medium Term Note Programme for € 2 billion with Caboto as arranger.
Sondrio, 21 December 2005 - On 21 December 2005 in London, Credito Valtellinese signed the renewal of the Euro Medium Term Note Programme for € 2 billion aimed at issuing bonds, both publicly and privately, including subordinated loans.
The Programme, with Caboto as arranger, will give the two issuers belonging to the same banking group- Credito Valtellinese and Bancaperta - access to international capital markets. The dealers, apart from the Arranger and Bancaperta itself (the Group company specializing in finance and internet banking), are the following: ABN Amro, Banca IMI, BNP Paribas, Calyon Corporate and Investment Bank, Deutsche Bank, Dexia Capital Markets, Dresdner, HSBC, I.C.B.P.I., JP Morgan, Merrill Lynch International, Natexis Banque Populaires, Nomura International, The Royal Bank of Scotland and UBM.
Currently, the Credito Valtellinese Group, which at September 30, 2005 had total assets of € 12,605 million, has a network of 346 branch offices belonging to the four banks operating in Lombardy, Veneto, Sicily, Tuscany and Lazio. The Group is made up of 7 banks (four retail banks and three specialised banks), a tax collection company, two companies operating respectively in managed assets and fiduciary services, and four production companies that provide support services for the bank's business activities.
The bank's core business areas include traditional retail banking for SME customers, artisans and families. The Group offers a broad range of products including asset management, private banking, remote banking, bancassurance and technical services, such as information technology and real estate management.
